A legendary American watch brand, Bulova, was established in 1875 when a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City. Trained as a jeweler, Bulova's expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which commenced around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, soon evolving to include the then-fashionable technological innovation of the wristwatch. Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919, and the company grew and prospered, with early radio and television ads declaring, "America runs on Bulova time."
In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers, and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.
Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion. One such timepiece is the Women's Precisionist strap watch, featuring a stainless-steel case and brown leather strap. The watch boasts a domed mineral crystal with a rose-gold metalized rim, beveled dauphine hands with a flat tip and tail, and luminous-filled middle. Duet to the 97B110, the watch also includes a calendar and is water-resistant to 99 feet (30 M), withstanding rain and splashes of water but not showering or submersion.
The defining feature of this Bulova watch is its "most accurate" status, with a continuously sweeping second hand. In stainless steel with a rose-gold finish, the watch also features a domed metalized crystal, a multiple-layer silver-white, silver, and rose-gold dial, luminous hands, and a padded and stitched dark brown leather strap with a locking deployment buckle. Water-resistant to 30 meters, this Bulova Precisionist timepiece is a testament to the brand's legacy of innovation and craftsmanship.
