Bulova, a pioneering force in the timekeeping industry, was founded in 1875 by 23-year-old immigrant Joseph Bulova in New York City. Since then, the brand has stood at the forefront of innovation, registering over 50 patents and transforming how watches were designed and worn.
In 1920, Bulova established its own observatory atop a New York skyscraper to ensure the utmost precision in its timepieces. Following World War II, the company also founded the Bulova School of Watchmaking, using unique methods to train disabled veterans for positions in the watch and jewelry industry.
Bulova's most revolutionary innovation came in 1960 with the introduction of the Accutron, the world's first fully electronic watch. An integral component of U.S. space technology, Accutron timing was used on 46 NASA missions, including Apollo XI, the first lunar landing.
Today, Bulova has expanded globally, with four separate watch brands under its umbrella: Bulova, Bulova AccuSwiss, Bulova Accutron II, and Caravelle New York. The flagship Bulova brand offers an extensive selection of watches crafted from the finest materials, including 315L surgical grade stainless steel, diamonds, mother-of-pearl, carbon fiber, and Bulova's proprietary Duramic nylon/ceramic composite.
Bulova's latest innovation is the Precisionist Collection, featuring the brand's proprietary Precisionist-class quartz torsional resonator movement. This groundbreaking movement provides unparalleled accuracy, with a vibrational frequency of 262kHz – eight times greater than a standard quartz movement. In laboratory testing, the Precisionist-class movement has been shown to be three times more accurate than standard quartz.
The Precisionist Chronograph, part of the Precisionist Collection, is the only chronograph to combine stopwatch timing to 1/1,000-second with Bulova's exclusive Precisionist-class torsional resonator movement. This advanced chronograph offers a 12-hour time frame with accuracy to within seconds per year, featuring a distinctive 1/1,000-second track with retrograde indicator, four subdials for cumulative time measurement, and a floating second hand.
Encased in stainless steel with a curved crystal, the Precisionist Chronograph boasts a multiple-layer black carbon fiber, blue, silver, and black dial, along with a screw-back case, screw-down crown, and double-press fold-over clasp with safety lock. It is water-resistant to 300 meters, making it suitable for swimming and snorkeling.
With its commitment to innovation, precision, and craftsmanship, Bulova has solidified its position as a legendary American watch brand, continuing the legacy established by its founder over a century ago.
